That’s the key there. You don’t want to copy just to be a hollow echo. You want to copy and put it through the filter of your own creative voice to make something different. That’s okay because I think it means that you’ve resonated with someone. You’ve made a difference in the way that they think about their art and their presentation. That’s a good thing, because we all do borrow from each other and it’s unreasonable to think that the things that you see and experience in your daily life are not going to seep into your own work

Reality is never just one thing.

Luc Boltanski writes: ``Reality suffers from a species of inherent fragility, such that the reality of reality must incessantly be reinforced in order to endure.`` So many of the images and words that surround us continuously enforce and suggest the idea that, as Margaret Thatcher famously pronounced: ``There is no alternative.``There is certainly no heaven on earth we will all someday achieve. But there are as many alternatives as we are able to imagine, little pinpricks of hope, shifting moments for potential change. All we need to do is step over the line, take the first step. I wonder if some day I might.

Ongoing projects

M.R. Štefánik Utopian Start-up Fashion Store and Manufacture.
The source of inspiration for my project of the long-term cooperation with residents of the village of Košariská is Milan Rastislav Štefánik who, before the formation of Czecho-Slovakia, considered setting up an ideal Slovak settlement on the island of Tupai in French Polynesia. According to Štefánik’s plans, the residents of his native village were to be the very first inhabitants of this 'New Slovakia'. His plans entailed building factories to process coconuts to produce oil, buttons, threads and textile. These activities were expected to lead to the eventual independence and emergence of the new state. The project was interrupted by the Great War, Štefánik was recruited to join the army and he never returned to the idea.
